Microsoft has a 30 day free trial. Go on to ask.com and type in microsoft word. You’ll find something there that’s going to show a free trial.

open office is an open source (free) office suite. it has programs that are equivalent to word and powerpoint, but not necessarily the same fanciness (it has the basics though).

Why not try the free alternative? Downloading Microsoft office for free is illegal, where as
Openoffice.org
has all the same tools for free, it’s what I use

Well, you could download the entire Office suite illegally and face the potential lawsuit, loss of internet access, and other possible legal issues.
Or… you can download the free OpenOffice suite, which is an open source product that is comparable to Microsoft Office (including Word and Powerpoint).
To me, it is no contest. I’d rather not give any money to Microsoft that I don’t really have to, and OpenOffice is an excellent product. Try it – it’s worth the time.

Yes…for a 60 day free trial. Please see the links below. They are legal and directly from Microsoft.
Link for entire Office Professional 2007:

I have utilized these downloads prior to purchasing and found no issues with trial offer.
Hope this was helpful.
